For television lovers, the final weeks of summer can only mean one thing: Fall TV. And although television premieres year-round now, there's still something about the magical pairing of cooler weather, new shows, and the warm blanket that is your favorite returning series. (An actual warm blanket is also nice ... in certain months.)
But before we say goodbye to summer, August is offering up a lot of exciting television, from the return of HBO's Industry, which adds Kit Harington to its season 3 cast, to Hulu's beloved Only Murders in the Building. Or if you need an escape to Paris that has nothing to do with the Olympics, there's a new season of Netflix's Emily in Paris.
In September, as you wait for the weather to cool off, there's a handful of intriguing new series, whether we're talking about the Nicole Kidman-led mystery The Perfect Couple or Starz's adaptation of Lisa Taddeo's book Three Women. Then again, if you're more into returning series, there's all of NBC's Chicago shows, Grey's Anatomy, The Golden Bachelorette, and so much more.
